So frustrating! Slow, app freezes, just a rotten update.

MUA definitely half-assed this app. Whenever I try to log into my account, it says "unable to reach server". No matter where I am, even if Im connected to wi-fi. The way the app looks isnt very appealing either. Its just very basic and plain looking. If this is for people who are looking up info on makeup youd think there would be a prettier user interface. I could forgive that though, if the app actually worked.

The app freezes and its so slow. I tried searching by brand name MAC which was listed in their drop down menu and MAC has plenty of reviews Im sure, but the app brought back " no results". Then I searched by all products and the first three items were MAC products. Its a very "buggy" app that needs better quality assurance

I used to love this app, but ever since the latest update I cant do anything except stare at the home screen. This app deserves five stars, but not in its current condition. :(

There are annoying and frequent pop up ads that blast sound. Too frustrating to use! MUA used to be a good site until they allowed ads all over their site!

I was on the fence with downloading since there were such bad reviews (of the app not working) but as of July 24th, I can say that it has been fully functioning for me :) woohoo!

I have a couple issues with this app. First off, when you search certain things (for example, Mac mineralized skinfinish natural), the same product comes up 5 times with different color specifications. There should be just 1 product that everyone puts their reviews on bc most likely, your review isnt based on shade. If it is, go get a new shade then. Also, I hate searching products on this app because if you cant spell the product 100% perfect, itll tell you the product isnt found. I always find myself having to google the product reviews click on the website, then click on Open In App because I cant spell.

Whenever I try to view my profile to see how and what I reviews it doesnt take me to my profile. No matter how much I click and click my username in the bottom left hand corner. Pretty disappointing!

This app has a really clean, user friendly interface and I love the look of it. What features it does have are pretty great. But there arent enough features! I cant visit any user profiles (including my own), or edit a comment, and there are no settings. I end up having to use my mobile browser to access MUA anyway. If this app was more well rounded and had most/all of the main features of the site, I would give it 5 stars.

I was able to post 3 replies to the boards and then suddenly I would write out this lengthy reply & it wouldnt post. Closed out & opened, logged out and back in, nothing. Really frustrating.

App design is great. Good layout, easy to navigate but its nothing like using Makeup Alley online. The app seems to be only focused around product reviews, (love the scan option) and thats fine, but Ive grown to use Makeup Alley for so much more. You cant see user profiles, let alone your own. You cany upload or post photos. You cant view your messages, etc. If these simple features were added the app would be 5 stars. Would love to see an update!!

If you type in the product name first, you cant navigate to add brand or category. Ads are annoying, no access to chat boards. Crashes if I try to sort my review search in any way. Barcode scanner is nice and works most of the time. This could be a really wonderful app if the developers would fix it. The ads make it really horrible now. Cant even buy it to remove the ads.

Im not very active on makeupalley except for posting reviews. The main thing I want is a more efficient barcode scanning feature like Amazons app! For some reason, my camera almost never focuses on a barcode. But Amazons will scan the same barcode faster & easier! This is my only complaint!

Cant login through Facebook via app and cant make a new account because it used my email so..
