MakeupAlley App Reviews

Was really excited to use this app as I use the desktop site often, but the ads in this app leave much to be desired and I deleted it after one use. Find a way to eliminate the 30 second video ads and Id come back (not that you need me to). Frustrating. I dont mind ads when you can X out of them, but you couldnt with this and it played music.

All of the products I look up say "no results" but there are over 100 reviews on it :-( why???

I like the whole idea of makeup alley but this app is nothing like the website. Should be easier to navigate through and Id like to be able to look back at my diary, favorites, and profiles to help me remember what products worked for me in the past. But if youre just wanting reviews its an ok app.

Its a great idea for an app, but it definitely needs more options, like the actual website does. All I can do on it is look up specific items. I wish there was just random things I can get ideas from.

I use this app to research any and all products I am thinking about buying or have bought!

This app is crap. So slow it is pathetic. Keeps freezing up my phone. Deleting it pronto more aggravation that it is worth.

This app needs help.

This app used to be great. Now it has ads and its sluggish and slow. Id pay for a version that didnt have ads and actually worked.

The MakeupAlley app USED to be okay. Since the iOS 8 update, the scrolling skips and jumps and lags and Ive just noticed today that I cant get past the opening screen. Although it has its own set of issues that make searching and sorting almost impossible, the mobile site is easier to use.

now with boards accessible on the app and having the barcode scanning right there & all the reviews, this is the all around resource for me when shopping for beauty products

This app is amazing! HOWEVER The new message boards Need lots of help !! When you post a message,you dont know who replies and I literally had to scroll down pages just to see what the replies - fix asap and also notifications about who has replied would be awesome. I know this is just new and still in works and thank you for working so hard on this ! - a new make up lover

Good idea but needs lot of work, laggy and bad gui

Mehh, liked the idea because I love the website but on the boards I couldnt see peoples replies or the original question when I clicked on it.

You cant find regular makeup, the bar code doesnt search. Cant handle settings Cant see pictures or profile pictures You need to be able to post pictures for your reviews Cant access the reviews you posted Its just not a good app Needs a lot of work. I would love for it to work

Ever since the update I cant use the app at all. Like, I cant click on anything at all. Its just the main home screen and thats it. Besides that MAJOR glitch... I feel like the app doesnt show all the reviews that the website does. Theres certain products that come up "no results" on the app, but have hundreds of reviews online.

This app is basically worthless after the last update. Constantly crashes, freezes, or you cant click on anything.

This app use to work so well but now its just a frozen mess. I use to like looking up products but now Im going elsewhere to find information and opinions. Needs a bug fix!!

Laggy and there pop up ads with sound...

I wasnt sure I wanted to download the app after reading the reviews, but now Im so glad I did. I use mostly their website, but I love being able to check products at the store before buying. I might use it less than other users, thats why I have less issues?

Crashing, "no search results" when I just used the app for the exact product and it even autocompleted the search for me... The ads are awful as well. Then more crashing. Please fix the search function.
